15 incredibly crazy and funny laws in some African countries. LOL

Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most-populous continent. At about 30.3 million km² (11.7 million square miles) including adjacent islands, it covers six per cent of Earth's total surface area and 20.4 per cent of its total land area. With 1.1 billion people as of 2013, it accounts for about 15% of the world's human population

Africa is home to the mighty Sahara desert -- the world's largest desert -- which covers nearly one-quarter of the entire continent. It's also home to the world's longest river, the Nile.

However, She houses the most crazy presidents and law makers who make incredibly crazy and funny laws.
Please do sit back and enjoy this collection of funny, stupid and often bizarre laws from Africa. This includes a selection of both past and current laws.


1.  In  Chad;
It is against the law to take photographs in the country unless a permit has been obtained beforehand.

  

2.  In Guinea;
It is illegal to name a child “Monica”.

  3.  In Somalia;
 It is illegal to carry old chewing gum, by sticking it to the tip of your nose

What is doing you people sef?

4.   In Egypt;
Not voting can send you to jail.

  Say what? They need to come to Nigeria to see how much we're beginning to hate voting, cos your vote doesn't actually count. If they make such laws in Nigeria, then they should also get ready to jail one quarter, or lemme say, half of the entire population.


5.   In Malawi;
Its illegal to fart in public. 

The 2011 Malawian Air Fouling Legislation bans fouling the air. The bill reads thus:

Any person who vitiates the atmosphere in any place so as to make it noxious to the public to the health of persons in general dwelling or carrying on business in the neighbourhood or passing along a public way shall be guilty of a misdemeanour

 6.   In Equatorial Guinea;
 The citizens of Equatorial Guinea are not allowed to read literature from outside the country and are seriously discouraged from reading in general. There are no bookstores and newsstands to speak of anywhere in the country. The only newspaper circulating in the country is censored.

7.   In Eritrea;
Citizens are required to register their faiths before they can practice. While official religions like Catholicism and Islam are recognized, some sects like Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Bahá’í Faith, the Seventh-day Adventist Church and other non-protestant Evangelical denominations cannot worship freely and face arrest.

It's also illegal to marry just one wife. It can send you to jail.

8.  In Mauritania;
Apostasy (renunciation of a religious belief) is punishable under Mauritanian Criminal Code. The law states that “any Muslim guilty of the crime of apostasy is to be given the opportunity to repent within three days. If the accused does not repent within that period, he/she is to be sentenced to death, and all of his/her property shall be confiscated by the government.

You can imagine!

9.   In Mozambique;
It's illegal to paint your house in Mozambique, without first obtaining permission from the municipality.

10.  In Swaziland;
It's illegal for a woman to wear pants/trouser, she can be punished by having the pants ripped off of her, and torn into pieces by soldiers. 

11.  In Kenya;
It's illegal to walk around with no money in your pocket.

OMG! This is just so unbelievably funny. Like you have no right to be broke? The funny part of it all is that Kenya has 80% of her population living in the rural area with no power supply, good roads nor water supply. Yet they want you to have money in your pocket at all times. SMH


12.  In Sudan;
It's against the law for a man and woman to sit together, without a chaperone.

Seriously, this is the kind of laws hungry men make. I suggest they increase their salaries and allowances. LOL...


13.  In Ghana;
 There are laws that govern how many movies an actor can be in, over a set period of time.

Eee... say what?

14. In Mauritius;
Sex  toys are illegal

  

15.  And Finally, In NIGERIA;
 It's illegal to name your dog 'Buhari'. LMAO.

Bhet why? Is it fair? There is God oo! *winks*
